Hammer Down Du 2014 is Tomorrow!

Hammer Down Du 2014 is tomorrow! We are looking forward to it, and hope you are, too!

Here are a few things you need to know:

1. Enter the Beltway Baptist parking lot through the west entrance on FM 707. (That’s the entrance closer to Buffalo Gap Rd.) The other entrance will be blocked off. Head to the back (south end) of the parking lot and park back there.

2. Pick up your race number and timing chip at the registration table between 7:00 and 7:30 am. Line up and instructions will be at 7:50. The race will start at 8 am. Day of registration is $30. Cash or checks are accepted. Checks need to be made out to Habitat for Humanity.

3. You MUST wear a helmet during the bicycle portion of the event. If you don’t have one buckled on your head as you leave the transition area, you will not be allowed to continue.

4. Hang around after you finish for prizes and to see if you win anything in the swag raffle. Prizes and swag are donated by BikeTown.

Come on out and run, ride, and support Habitat for Humanity!

Venue and Transition Area

Like the past two years, the venue will be at the Beltway Baptist parking lot on FM 707 in Abilene, TX. Enter the parking lot off of FM 707 and head towards the back of the lot south of the church building. The start, finish, and transition area will be back there. You will need to pick up your number and timing chip between 7 and 7:30 am. The race will start promptly at 8.

There will be bike racks provided in the transition area. If you would like a towel or stool, please bring one with you. Please remember that no one is allowed on their bikes in the transition area. Also, a helmet must be worn for the bicycle portion of this event.

Come on out and support Habitat for Humanity while challenging yourself in the event. We hope to see you there!
