Hammer Down Du 2014 is tomorrow! We are looking forward to it, and hope you are, too!
Here are a few things you need to know:
1. Enter the Beltway Baptist parking lot through the west entrance on FM 707. (That’s the entrance closer to Buffalo Gap Rd.) The other entrance will be blocked off. Head to the back (south end) of the parking lot and park back there.
2. Pick up your race number and timing chip at the registration table between 7:00 and 7:30 am. Line up and instructions will be at 7:50. The race will start at 8 am. Day of registration is $30. Cash or checks are accepted. Checks need to be made out to Habitat for Humanity.
3. You MUST wear a helmet during the bicycle portion of the event. If you don’t have one buckled on your head as you leave the transition area, you will not be allowed to continue.
4. Hang around after you finish for prizes and to see if you win anything in the swag raffle. Prizes and swag are donated by BikeTown.

Online registration for Hammer Down Du ends tonight at 11:45 pm. If you are planning on racing, please go ahead and register today! You can register the morning of the event at the venue, but the cost will increase to $30.
Race number and timing chip pick up will be from 7:00 – 7:30 am on Saturday morning at the venue. This is also the time for day of registration.

* Raffle winners will be drawn during the event. Check the raffle table when you are finished to see if you won.
** Age group awards and the overall male and female top 3 will be announced at around 9:15 (this will be give or take a few minutes, depending on finishing times). The top 3 in each age division will receive awards. The top 3 overall men and women will receive prizes.
It’s not too late to join us for Hammer Down Du! If you missed the online registration, you can still register tomorrow between 6:00 and 7:30 am at Beltway Baptist on FM 707 in Abilene. Remember – all proceeds from this event benefit Habitat for Humanity.
Today is your last chance to preregister online. Online registration will close tonight at 10:45 pm. You can still register the day of the event, but the cost will go up to $30. Head on over to BikeReg and get your registration out of the way. It’ll be one less thing to do on Saturday morning!

It’s time for Hammer Down Du 2013! We will see you at Beltway Baptist on FM 707 Saturday morning. Remember…day-of registration will be open from 6:00-7:30 am. The price is $30. Cash and checks will be accepted. Checks need to be made out to Habitat for Humanity. If you are preregistered, you still need to come and pick up your race number and timing chip. You can do this anytime between 6:00 and 7:30. Registration and packet pick up will shut down at 7:30. We can’t wait to see you there!

Register now for the 2013 Hammer Down Du! The event will take place on Saturday, May 4 at 8 am. The venue will be at the Beltway Baptist parking lot on FM 707 in Abilene, TX. The route will basically be the same as last year (you can see it by clicking on routes to your left), but the bike route will be tweaked just a bit due to some road construction.
